Adrian Kendrick BA, PhD, PgD (Applied Stats), RPGST

Senior Lecturer, University of the West of England, Bristol Adrian trained in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, before moving to Bristol in 1983. He is currently Consultant Clinical Scientist in the Department of Respiratory Medicine, University Hospitals, Bristol, with both clinical and research interests in Respiratory Physiology, Sleep & Non-Invasive Ventilation.

He is also Senior Lecturer in Physiological Science (Respiratory/Sleep) at the University of West of England. He has published articles, reviews and chapters in textbooks within the fields of Respiratory Physiology and Sleep.

In addition, he is a member of both the Education and Research committees, and is a national assessor for the Association for Respiratory Technology & Physiology (ARTP); a member of both the Education and Training Committee for the British Thoracic Society (BTS) and of the Joint Working Group for the ARTP/BTS; a member of Registration Council for Clinical Physiology – Professional Body Education Committee; an external assessor for the Academy of Healthcare Science and an external examiner for the National School of Healthcare Science. He is currently a member of the Central Bristol Research Ethics Committee.

In his spare time (!), he enjoys relaxing and listening to the music ranging from the works of King Henry VIII through most classical genres to modern classical composers, to Jazz, R&B, Rock, Synthesizer music, Heavy Metal through to modern-day artists including Lady Gaga, Katie Perry and Adele as well as music from around the world. He also enjoys cooking, eating food from around the world and occasionally does DIY. The rest of the time – he sleeps!
