About this speaker
Rebecca is a PhD Candidate at Bangor University researching bilingualism in people with Rett syndrome. When she is not working on her PhD, Rebecca works with Rett UK on the Communication and Education project.
Rebecca gained a BA in Linguistics, followed by an MSc in Language Acquisition and Development, then an MA in Bilingualism from Bangor University. She teaches at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels in both typical and atypical language acquisition, specialising in multilingualism. She is currently working on a number of projects relating to Rett syndrome, communication, and AAC.
