
Sian Midwinter MSc MCSP
Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist, Midwinter Physiotherapy Siân is an advanced physiotherapist with over 13 years experience. She has a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Exercise and Sport Sciences from The University of Exeter and achieved a Merit in MSc Physiotherapy at Leeds Metropolitan University.

She has successfully completed a degree module in COPD at Education for Health and a Masters module in Non-Medical Prescribing at Coventry University.
Sian is a specialist in respiratory health and works with people struggling with breathlessness, fatigue, persistent cough, recurrent chest infections and impaired cough. More recently she has done a lot of work with people who have Long Covid and teaches nationally to improve the understanding of how to rehabilitate people appropriately and safely.
She also works closely with many adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities in their homes, day centres or care homes. Supporting families and care teams to prevent ill health from body shape changes and improving function to maintain wellness. Aiming to reduce the health inequalities that exist and ensuring the benefits of exercise are felt by all.
Rehabilitation of the older adult is an area close to Sian's heart and she has advanced practice skills to complete complex falls risk assessments and provide rehabilitation plans for even the most complex patient. Helping those who have fallen or fear it to regain their independence and confidence.
With her sporting background Sian also enjoys treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries and has a wealth of experience in this area.
